Last week I bought peaches from the farmers marker, but it turns out I really only like the smell of peaches…. not the taste… I did know that I like peach cobbler, where it is covered in sugar and cooked. I decided to check VegWeb for a recipe where I had all the ingredients at home and found this Vegan Peach Cobbler from wkeefer.
After making the biscuits from the Bisquick Box, and getting that right I finally made the Vegan Southern Biscuits and Gravy recipe by funnygirl28. It came out really good and the only change I made was to use vegan butter to make the rue instead of oil. I also wish that I had made the onions a little smaller

This week I finally decided to start cooking more than burritos, pizza and spaghetti so I checked out VegWeb for some ideas. I was mostly looking for a Biscuits and Gravy recipe but this one, for Potato Angels (I keep calling it Deviled Angels for some reason) from little2ant caught my eye. I did make a few changes to the recipe, first I cooked the onions (I hate raw onions), I added an extra tablespoon of Vegenaise and I also added a teaspoon of Dijon mustard with the yellow. Oh, I also flipped the potatoes 10 minutes before they were done.
These came out great! The filling really reminded me of deviled eggs and was so simple to make. I will be serving these to my meat only eater husband and I am sure he will love these.
I am adding a new link to the links section. This link from VegWeb tells you some ingredients to look out for when buying some food products. I wanted to create something like this but I am so clueless at what most ingredients really are, so I am grateful this is out there and is really helpful!
Please note, I am not affiliated with any links that I post or products that I write about. I post links that I feel are helpful or just nifty 🙂
